The Rawai area at the south west of Phuket

on the south west side of Phuket Island is for sure not one of the trendy nightspot area like Patong Beach, rather a quired one with a lot of small karaoke huts, places with life music, restaurants where also a lot of Thai's below 30 go. Again the the beer flows, the ladies from Isaan and elsewhere wait and everyone try to have some fun.

Further down towards Rawai beach the bars get a little big bigger and Rawai Phuket nightlife gets more vibrant. There are some sporadic Coyote Go Go on bar tables. But the Rawai area is quite often a rough one, were farang fighting each other after loaded with beer since they know nobody bothers. Australians are some of the most notorious, one has the impression this guys from down under only come to Thailand to let their pig out. One can hear the ambulance every evening several times. Don't go there alone.
