On certain occasions like Songkran - Water Festival or Loi Kratong - Festival of the lights- ,  the ladies come on the sing dance stage with all kind of fancy costumes. The catch is, the owner of the nightclub tell them they should come with this costumes, but they have to pay the costume by themselves, which is between 1000 and 5000 baht rental fee for one dress for one night.

One of the best events to shoot pictures in Phuket which are not found elsewhere is the vegetarian festival at Phuket City. Every year in late September or beginning of October ( depends on the Chinese Lunar Calendar) thousands of people come to the island from all over the world to watch a absolute unique spectacle. Its a festival of absolute masochism disguised into the vegetarian festival.

One of the highlights in Phuket are the varieties in the restaurant scene. Probably the most interesting is Phuket seafood and prices are quite low.
