Patong beach life during daytime is one thing, the other, probably more interesting and much more exiting is the nightlife. Patong’s Bangla Road is crowded with foreigners und Thai Bar Girls every evening. From Soi Bangla, as it is also known several small roads called Soi branch open up.

Soi Eric is probably the best place of this type of Patong adventure, there is also Soi Katoey (Katoey stands for Ladyboys), Soi Seadragon, Soi Sansabai and Soi Tiger with plenty of go go and a disco upstairs. There are plenty of other Soi nightlife locations with great Soi Girls along Bangla Patong and other rods, but Bangla is the epicenter of the nightlife on Phuket.

Patong nightlife is somehow so strange and totally different you maybe have seen elsewhere that it’s like walking in a dream. The foreigners and not only western guys, there are also tourists from Japan, Korea, Arab countries, Indian, Pakistani, Singapore, Malaysia, Russia just name it, its absolute international and real attractive.

Actually Thailand nightlife at Phuket, Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai and elsewhere is one of the attraction why tourism in Thailand is very often really booming. But if you want to get a tattoo keep to major things in mind, after you get tattooed you need to stay away from the beach several days, means consider a tattoo rather at the end of your Patong vacations. There is exotic food at Patong; almost every nation sending tourists to Thailand left some restaurants. These are naturally Thai restaurants of various quality and seafood restaurants who do brisk business. There are fast food restaurants of the Burger type, Pizza, kebab and Italian, Indian, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, German, Austrian, Russian, Arab restaurants, just name it and they usually do quite a good job.

The catastrophe came over Patong in form of a Tsunami. Patong and the other beach areas at the west coast were badly hit since because of the underwater topology the Tsunami banged in with full force. Also the aftermath was terrible as you can see in the Patong pictures below. Many people died and some of them who never have been identified until now are still in the refrigerator container at the north of Phuket Island. Luckily Phuket Island recovered very quick and a year later everything was back to normal at Patong.
